Your credibility is only impeached to the degree to which your opinion expressed is akimbo to your previously stated positions.

If you have a track record of liking things that are Green and hating things that are Blue, then you'd have a difficult time selling us on New York Giants replica jerseys on the weekend they play the Packers.

People who DON'T know your backstory, your history, or your stated preferences might quibble anyway, but who cares?

*I* know that Susan is going to be straight up with her opinions and isn't going to waver. Over time, they'll figure it out too.

I don't think you have to love every aspect of a company or a product or a campaign in order to promote it while keeping your integrity intact. We routinely include criticism - constructively phrased, of course - in our PBN write-ups, and our clients aren't just handing us gift cards to give away.

Now, if you had absolutely nothing positive to say about JCP and their campaign, it would look strange for you to follow that up with a gift card giveaway. But since your opinion is primarily positive, with some well-reasoned criticism, I don't see any conflicts.
