May 30, 2006 by Susan Getgood

For Scott Baradell’s obnoxious and self serving Technorati test 🙂 Here you go, Scott.

Everybody else, just ignore this post.

Hey, even if it is link bait, he also has a point. Technorati is a good service. It is also very inconsistent. For businesses that are actually trying to monetize their blogs, in whatever way, for whatever reason, bad Technorati data could be very damaging.

Think about the number of times you or people you know have noticed that Technorati says their blogs haven’t been updated in 30-40 days. Or you have zero links from zero sources. And how have the problems been resolved? Usually by the blogger speaking up, sending email, blogging the problem. That is not an acceptable solution for a service that wants to be the authority on blog authority.

So if Baradell is willing to make this his new cause (because we know he needs one), push it hard and keep the light on the problem, he can have the links 🙂
