Workshops: Internet Marketing, Blogger Outreach and More

Social Media 101 – Half-day introduction to blogs and other new media. Answers the question: What is social media and why does it matter for my business? This workshop can be tailored to marketing and PR teams, stressing integration of social media marketing with overall marketing and PR strategy, or customer service and consumer affairs professions, with a focus on the impact of blogs and communities on customer satisfaction. Can be combined with half-day social media consulting.

Blogger Relations – This half-day session for PR and marketing professionals introduces a step-by-step process for successfully working with bloggers. We discuss the anatomy of a bad pitch, whether companies need a their own blogs, and the alternatives for monitoring and measurement. The workshop relies heavily on examples and case studies. Can be combined with half-day social media consulting.

Getting the Message Out – Be Heard, Understood and Remembered – Whether you are talking to a reporter, lobbying a legislator, or speaking to your employees, you need to be heard, understood and remembered. Our one-hour workshop “Getting the Message Out” offers three tips that will help you tell your important message effectively and memorably. When you don’t have time for a fullscale media training session, this is a good jumpstart.

Lead Generation Tactics for Small Business – Two-hour session that focuses on practical lead generation tactics. We cover direct mail, seminars and events, search engines, and social media. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lead generation challenges to the table for brainstorming/ad hoc consulting.

Five Simple Tips for Improving Your Sales – One of the most common problems in any business – small, medium and large – is the chasm between Sales and Marketing. Whether you have one salesperson or fifty, one person doing marketing or a whole team, each has a different view of the task at hand and who is responsible for what. The most important thing you can do to improve your sales is to close the gap between your sales and marketing teams. The sooner the better, whether you are missing or making your numbers. This two hour workshop will give you five tips for getting these two critical teams on the same page, working together toward the same goals.

All workshops can be customized for your group or company. We occasionally do pro bono seminars for charities and non-profit civic organizations. Call 978 562 5979 or email Susan Getgood for details.
